Your Tasks
- Use Machine Learning models for automated analysis of core image data and geophysical data logs.
- Apply explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) techniques to determine driving features of the ML models and investigate model interpretability.
- Perform uncertainty quantification to assess the reliability of predictions and the robustness of ML/AI models.
- Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present your work at conferences.
Your Profile
- You hold a master's degree in geosciences (such as geochemistry, geology, geophysics, or a related discipline) combined with a strong interest in artificial intelligence and data-driven modeling. Alternatively, you may have a master's degree in data science, mathematics, computer science, informatics, or physics with a keen interest in geoscience applications.
- You possess programming experience (e.g., Python, R, Matlab, C/C++).
- You demonstrate an active interest in data (e.g., images, categorical, numerical, geoscientific, subsurface data) and interpretation.
- You have strong communication and writing skills in English.
