The Membrane and Interfacial Science Lab in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT) at ETH Zürich is at the forefront of designing materials and processes that promote energy-efficient and sustainable separations. Our research focuses on membrane technologies that drive significant advancements in carbon capture, gas separations, and water purification. Researchers within our group engage in membrane synthesis, experimental characterization, and transport modeling.
The doctoral student will conduct research on next-generation membrane processes. Responsibilities may include:
The student will have the opportunity to develop their doctoral research alongside their supervisor, Prof. Anthony Straub. The project will involve collaboration with NCCR Separations and leading experts in separations, sustainability, and materials.
