Your Responsibilities

The PhD candidate will play a crucial role in the project by managing local data collection in Switzerland, guided by the Principal Investigator and a postdoctoral researcher. Additionally, the candidate will help organize two workshops in Zurich, connecting with leading scholars in LGBTIQ+ research, social psychology, health research, and global policy. The opportunity to present work at international scientific conferences and engage with wider audiences will further enrich their experience. A research stay abroad is also encouraged. During their doctoral studies, the PhD student will collaborate closely with the Principal Investigator and the international team on three papers. The candidate will receive training in public speaking and participate in outreach activities, bridging the gap between science and broader society.

Your Profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in (Social or Clinical) Psychology or a related field
• Strong interest in psychological research and LGBTIQ+ research
• Project management skills
• Experience with quantitative research methods and statistical analysis (e.g., R)
• Knowledge of qualitative research methods is a plus
• Very good written and spoken English; knowledge of or willingness to acquire German
• Cultural sensitivity
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interest in and connection to the LGBTIQ+ community
