Together with stakeholders, the interdisciplinary NCCR CLIM+ research community tackles unexplored solution spaces to the climate crisis and develops a blueprint for actionable climate research worldwide. NCCR CLIM+ broadly communicates and shares knowledge, and trains a new generation of experts with the necessary domain and transdisciplinary knowledge. For more details, please visit: NCCR CLIM+.

Within workpackage 3 (Governance of climate extremes and justice), the Public Management and Organization (PMO) team at the University of Bern's KPM Center for Public Management has been tasked to explore "The role of networked, inter-organizational governance arrangements for climate extremes" (task 3.4). • You will collaborate closely with our PMO team, the workpackage 3 task force, and the broader NCCR Clim+ community.
  • You will contribute to joint conference submissions, research publications, and support task coordination (reports, organization of workshops, and annual meetings with NCCR Clim+ partners and collaborating organizations).

Requirements

  • You hold a master's degree in a relevant discipline, such as organization/management studies, public management/administration, sociology, or political science.
  • You have a solid command of and evidenced interest in qualitative empirical research methods.

  • You have the ability to work independently, meet demanding deadlines, and cooperate with diverse project members.
  • You possess excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • German as your mother tongue (or an equivalent level) and very good English skills are prerequisites. A command of Swiss German and French would be a plus.
