Doctoral Candidate Position at KPM Center for Public Management

The KPM Center for Public Management at the University of Bern is seeking a doctoral candidate to start on September 1, 2025, or as arranged. This position is limited to four years.

Tasks

• Completion of a doctoral thesis in the context of the aforementioned research project
• Participation in scientific conferences

Requirements

• Master's degree in public administration, political science, or related disciplines with a grade of 5 or above (Swiss grading system, where 5 equals "good")
• Basic knowledge of qualitative and/or quantitative methods, along with a willingness to refine and enhance your methodological skills
• A passion for research and the ability to work independently
• A reliable and creative personality
• Very good knowledge of German and English
• Knowledge of French is an asset
• Familiarity with the Swiss political and administrative system is an asset
