Your Responsibilities

SwissNeoNet, an associated partner of the European Horizon project -IMPROVing lifElong health and development for children and adults born very PRETERM-, tackles the significant health challenges faced by individuals born very preterm. The project aims to develop a research framework that facilitates affordable, patient-oriented studies with impactful results in real-world settings. In this role, you will:

  • Participate in building comparative effectiveness use cases, such as analyzing lung maturation through antenatal steroids.
  • Analyze data from randomized controlled trials alongside large European cohort studies and registries.
  • Assist in integrating SwissNeoNet into the existing European RECAP Preterm Platform.
  • Help optimize innovations in methods for causal inference, data capture, and infrastructure development, aligning them with the needs and values of affected individuals and families.
  • Collaborate with the IMPROVE PRETERM project team, which meets annually in Paris to coordinate efforts.

By joining this innovative research initiative, you will work at the intersection of Clinical Research and Digital Health. As part of our interdisciplinary team, you will have the freedom to pursue your research independently while receiving support from specialists in Epidemiology, Medicine, IT, and Biostatistics. Our offices are conveniently located, easily accessible via public transport (with a tram station on campus).

Your Profile

We seek a highly motivated individual with the following qualifications:

  • A Master's degree (e.g., in Epidemiology, Statistics, Biology, Biomedicine, or Medicine).
  • Strong knowledge of Biostatistics and statistical programming (e.g., R).
  • Proficiency in English and German; knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • A collaborative spirit, willing to work actively with the NRZ, SwissNeoNet, and the Improve Preterm teams.
