Perfume Retail Manager
Location: Switzerland – All Swiss German Region
To strengthen our national Sales Perfume team in Neuchâtel, we are actively seeking a Perfume Retail Manager. Reporting to the Switzerland Wholesale & Retail Manager of Perfume, you will play a crucial role in developing Bulgari Perfumes activities across the Swiss markets sustainably. You will oversee all retail and operational aspects related to sales activities within the Swiss German region.
Accountabilities
As the Retail Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for Bulgari Perfume at the point of sales. Your responsibilities include:
- Driving the brand relaunch within your perimeter and challenging the status quo.
- Ensuring compliance with Bulgari’s operational requirements to optimize sales and showcase our brand to its fullest extent in-store.
- Managing a team of Client Advisors recruited through agencies, including their coaching and training to meet sales targets.
- Determining temporary staffing needs to seize sales opportunities and enhance retailer results.
- Establishing and nurturing excellent relationships with retailers, serving as their daily point of contact for performance and operational aspects.
- Monitoring sell-out performance, collaborating with partners to set and achieve sales targets for each point of sale.
- Ensuring optimal representation of Bulgari Perfumes assortments in-store, adhering to visual merchandising guidelines.
- Managing sampling initiatives and gifts-with-purchase actions, while negotiating for improved in-store visibility and local animations.
- Supporting all in-store executions, including CAPEX installations, visual merchandising, and events.
- Managing budget allocations and negotiating with staffing agencies, while overseeing payment follow-ups.
- Accountable for achieving annual sales targets by closely tracking store performance and identifying growth opportunities.
- Gathering feedback from stores regarding performance and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Continuously analyzing the effectiveness of in-store actions to ensure alignment with the sustainable development of Bulgari Perfumes in the Swiss market.
Profile
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A CFC or equivalent education accompanied by 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the luxury or retail sector.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong networks while fostering a positive and motivating atmosphere to achieve sales targets.
- Independent work ethic with excellent time management skills to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- A passion for sales, demonstrating leadership and acting as a role model for Client Advisors.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to operational tasks with a performance-driven mindset and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- A comprehensive understanding of the high standards required within the luxury environment, alongside strong negotiation skills.
- Dynamic and positive attitude, with excellent listening and communication abilities that foster trust at all organizational levels.
- Fluency in Swiss German and English is required; knowledge of French and Italian is a considerable asset.
- The role is based in Switzerland with daily travel required within the German-speaking regions.
