Performance Engineer / Performance Engineeress

CLIMEWORKS AG - March 6, 2026

Your Mission

Performance Evidence Definition: You will translate system-level and scale-up questions into clear experimental objectives and KPIs, define required datasets and operating windows, and ensure that testing generates reliable, traceable, and decision-ready performance evidence.

Experimental Data Analysis: You will process and structure KPI-based datasets with statistical rigor, identify trends and operational limits, evaluate thermal or transport constraints, and quantify uncertainty to deliver robust insights from experimental results.

Model Validation & Risk Identification: Your role will involve comparing model predictions with experimental outcomes, identifying calibration gaps and model assumptions needing refinement, diagnosing deviations, and proposing targeted improvements while contributing to standardized validation workflows.

Cross-Functional Technical Alignment: You will work closely with Process Development and Technology teams to align KPIs, test plans, and interpretations, while ensuring clear technical communication and maintaining well-structured documentation.

Your Story

  • Education & Experience: You hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: You possess a strong understanding of adsorption fundamentals, heat and mass transfer, cyclic processes, and system performance behavior; you can also interpret performance drivers across scales. Additionally, you have experience designing experiments and working with experimental datasets, along with proficiency in Python and/or MATLAB for scientific computation and data analysis.
  • Mindset & Working Style: You communicate findings clearly, maintain structured and reproducible workflows, and contribute to well-organized technical documentation. While working autonomously, you ensure tight technical alignment with relevant teams and interfaces.
