Partnerships Coordinator (80%)
We are currently looking for a Partnerships Coordinator to join our Zurich office starting in September 2025 (or upon agreement). This role is essential for attracting and retaining major donors in the German and French-speaking regions of Switzerland, with a strong focus on institutions and some foundations.
Your Role
As a Partnerships Coordinator, you will be part of a growing team of 20 passionate individuals, working alongside three other team members in the Partnerships Team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing professional relationships with existing institutions and foundations to ensure long-term engagement, support, and income.
- Preparing and developing high-quality reports that align with donor requirements and expectations, in close collaboration with the program department.
- Identifying new opportunities with institutions and foundations in German- and French-speaking Switzerland and actively reaching out through phone calls and emails.
- Developing high-quality funding proposals that meet organizational priorities and donor requirements.
- Securing new grants and fostering relationships with donors through meetings, calls, and networking.
- Supporting the due diligence process and managing other administrative tasks related to grant and partnership management.
Your Profile
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills who is eager to gain experience in partnership management. You thrive in a dynamic and international environment and are passionate about making a difference. Key qualifications include:
- At least 3 years of experience in partner/client management (preferably with institutional donors such as cantons, municipalities, and federal institutions like the SDC), fundraising, or business development.
- A Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field (international development, business administration, or a related discipline).
- Fluency in German as a native language, with proficiency in French and strong English skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as adept relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- Solid research skills, particularly in identifying institutional donor opportunities in Switzerland.
- Familiarity with public-sector donors and their funding procedures in Switzerland, including reporting requirements.
- Experience in preparing proposals, budgets, and reports for public or institutional donors.
- A detail-oriented mindset and knowledge of fundraising platforms.
- Ability to perform well in a cross-functional and international team.
- Advanced formatting and document presentation skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
