Position Overview

We are seeking an Operator for our dry bulk and coal trading operations team. This role will focus on managing and optimizing logistical processes related to the transportation and trading of dry bulk commodities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of cargo operations experience, with a strong background in dry bulk commodities and a preference for coal trading operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize shipping, blending, storage, and transportation processes for cargo, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Coordinate the issuance and delivery of shipping documentation necessary for the purchase/sale, export/import, and transit of cargo.
  • Optimize loading processes, oversee quality controls, and manage inspections to ensure compliance with contractual specifications.
  • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to tackle complex operational issues related to trade execution.
  • Ensure completion of customs formalities when required.
  • Manage trade contracts, including Incoterms, Letters of Credit, and other shipping-related documentation.
  • Reflect cargo information in internal systems and conduct operational cost reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cargo operations, with a focus on dry bulk commodities and a strong preference for coal trading operations.
  • Solid understanding of trade contracts, Incoterms, Letters of Credit, and shipping documentation.
  • Proven track record of optimizing loading logistics, overseeing quality controls, and managing complex operations involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in freight forwarding is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English is essential.
