Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operator to join our dry bulk and coal trading operations team. This role involves managing and optimizing the logistical processes associated with the transportation and trading of dry bulk commodities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize shipping, blending, storage, and transportation processes for cargo to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate the issuance and delivery of shipping documentation required for the purchase/sale, export/import, and transit of cargo.
  • Optimize loading processes, oversee quality controls, and manage inspections to ensure adherence to contractual specifications.
  • Collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders to address complex operational matters related to trade execution.
  • Ensure customs formalities are completed as needed.
  • Manage trade contracts, including Incoterms, Letters of Credit, and other shipping-related documentation.
  • Reflect cargo information in internal systems and conduct operational cost reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cargo operations, with a strong preference for dry bulk commodities and coal trading operations.
  • Solid understanding of trade contracts, Incoterms, Letters of Credit, and shipping documentation.
  • Proven experience in optimizing loading logistics, overseeing quality controls, and managing complex operations involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in freight forwarding is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English.
