Job Function Summary

The Operations Specialist will support the Equities Volatility business by overseeing derivatives trade management and post-trade operations. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of listed derivatives activities, ensuring precise trade capture, allocations, clearing, reconciliations, and resolution of exceptions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong control discipline and stakeholder management, operating effectively in a high-volume, risk-sensitive environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of listed derivatives trades, including trade capture, allocations, clearing, and position management.
  • Monitor and resolve discrepancies between exchange data and books and records across trades, positions, and cash.
  • Manage internal and external position transfers, give-ups/give-ins, and coordinate with clearing brokers.
  • Support regulatory and exchange reporting requirements, including implementing control enhancements and managing exceptions.
  • Collaborate with Portfolio Managers, trading desks, brokers, exchanges, and internal teams to ensure accurate operational support.
  • Drive improvements in Straight Through Processing (STP), enhance process efficiency, and promote operational scalability across the platform.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • At least 10 years of experience in listed derivatives operations, trade management, clearing, and reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of the exchange-traded derivatives lifecycle and post-trade controls across EMEA and US markets.
  • Experience in managing exceptions, regulatory reporting, and operational processes related to exchanges and Central Counterparties (CCPs).
  • Proficient stakeholder management skills across trading, client service, compliance, brokers, and vendors.
  • Experience in collaborating with global teams and supporting changes, migrations, and new product onboarding.
