IT Operations Manager

We are seeking a skilled IT Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for IT Operations, define our IT & Data Strategy, and ensure that our employees can work with seamless, reliable, and efficient IT on a day-to-day basis.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop the IT & Data Strategy in close collaboration with internal functions and outsourced IT.
  • Oversee our outsourced IT functions.
  • Administer, review, and optimize the outsourcing strategy, setup, and contracts.
  • Foster day-to-day relationships, including hardware and access rights management.
  • Coordinate communication between internal employees and outsourced IT.
  • Manage compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Own the IT/Cyber risk management process.
  • Identify, assess, control, and report on IT/Cyber risks.
  • Maintain a comprehensive list of IT systems and perform periodic Business Impact Analysis.
  • Ensure adequate management levels of critical tools, including minimum standards on maintenance and documentation, while promoting best practices on IT-related topics.
  • Coordinate IT/Cyber training for employees, including overseeing phishing campaigns.
  • Manage the Cyber insurance policy.
  • Coordinate IT audits, FINMA IT-related questionnaires, and HO inspections.
  • Assume responsibility as the Data Protection Coordinator.
  • Oversee Business Continuity Management.
  • Support the development of IT systems/tools.
  • Coordinate Group IT initiatives (if applicable).

Your Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in IT operations and best practice IT setup, preferably within the insurance or reinsurance sector.
  • Experience with databases and SQL; programming skills in R, Python, or Alteryx is a plus.
  • Knowledge of FINMA regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of self-organization.
  • A service-oriented mindset to provide the best IT experience for our employees.
  • An interest in engaging with a comprehensive range of topics.
  • Fluency in English.
