Securities Settlements and Asset Transfers Specialist
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Employment Type: Full-time office role (no remote, no home office)
Contract Duration: 12 months
Responsibilities:
- Ensure end-to-end processing of free-of-payment portfolio transfers for private clients.
- Coordinate with a broad range of assets, aligning with all involved parties, and capture instructions while monitoring successful settlements in global markets.
- Receive and validate client settlement orders, processing exceptions on settlement orders.
- Match Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) with enriching asset transfer transactions for counterparty custodians.
- Monitor, identify, and escalate settlement failures on both position and cash sides, liaising with internal partners and external counterparties (e.g., custodian banks) to resolve issues, breaks, and queries.
- Repair and release settlement instructions of custody transactions across various markets worldwide and manage clients’ email queries related to existing or potential transactions.
Skills and Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience with asset transfers.
- Solid understanding of securities markets, particularly the functions of a custodian.
- Proficiency in SWIFT messaging, particularly MT54x settlement instructions.
- Knowledge of equities and fixed income products along with an understanding of processing confirmations and settlements.
- Extensive experience in securities settlements, including capturing, instructing, and monitoring orders.
