Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced OMP Functional Consultant to support an upcoming supply chain planning transformation initiative for a leading organization. The consultant should have over 5 years of hands-on experience with the OMP platform and possess a strong functional understanding of its functionalities.

The primary focus of this engagement will be to support the testing lifecycle, including test script development, test execution, defect identification, tracking, and resolution coordination. This is a functional consulting position rather than a technical development role. The successful consultant will be comfortable collaborating with business, functional, and technical teams to validate OMP functionalities against business requirements, ensuring successful delivery.

Experience within Life Sciences or Pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred. While previous exposure to OMP-to-SAP integration would be beneficial, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional expertise across the OMP supply chain planning platform
• Develop, review, and maintain functional test scripts and test scenarios
• Execute functional, integration, and business-process testing within OMP
• Validate system functionality against defined business requirements and expected outcomes
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the testing lifecycle
• Support defect triage and defect management, collaborating with relevant functional and technical teams through resolution
• Perform regression testing following defect remediation and system changes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, OMP consultants, SAP teams, and other project resources
• Support testing of end-to-end planning processes and downstream/upstream system interactions
• Maintain clear documentation of testing results, issues, and resolutions
• Assist the project team in ensuring the OMP solution is ready for successful business adoption and deployment

Required Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on OMP experience
• Strong functional expertise within the OMP platform / OMP Unison Planning environment
• Demonstrated experience as an OMP Functional Consultant
• Strong experience with:
  • Test script creation
  • Test scenario development
  • Test execution
  • Defect identification and documentation
  • Defect management and triage
  • Regression testing
• Understanding of supply chain planning processes and associated business workflows
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional testing scenarios
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technology teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Fluent in English

Preferred Experience

• Previous Life Sciences / Pharmaceutical industry experience
• Exposure to large-scale supply chain or planning transformation programs
• Experience working in regulated or complex enterprise environments
• Knowledge of SAP and OMP integration
• Experience validating end-to-end processes spanning OMP and SAP
• Familiarity with structured testing and defect-management tools/processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on OMP functional professional who can quickly integrate into an established project team and take ownership of functional testing activities. We are particularly interested in consultants who combine deep OMP knowledge with practical testing experience and are comfortable working directly with business stakeholders and delivery teams to identify issues, drive defects through resolution, and ensure the solution performs as expected. Candidates currently located on the U.S. West Coast are strongly preferred due to the hybrid nature of the engagement.
