About the Program

We offer a unique program designed for fresh graduates who thrive in fast-paced, competitive environments. Over an 18-month assignment, you will engage in a rotational program across our trading, risk management, vessel operations, analytics, strategy, and business development teams. This experience will equip you with foundational merchandising and trading competencies in shipping.

As a participant in our program, you will collaborate with team members to achieve project goals, taking ownership of your own project while regularly interacting with your project sponsor to review milestones and deliverables. You will face real challenges, cultivate your curiosity, gain client exposure, celebrate both personal and team successes, and receive recognition for your initiative. Additionally, you will dedicate time outside of daily tasks to develop your soft skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a rotational assignment program across various departments including trading, risk management, vessel operations, and analytics based on business needs.
  • Develop and nurture strategic customer relationships, contributing to digitalization and optimizing the trade capture process.
  • Engage in the trade life cycle, encompassing contract negotiation, trade entry, physical execution, and profit and loss analysis.
  • Analyze supply and demand data along with market and economic conditions to identify avenues for innovation and improved data analysis.
  • Address basic issues under direct supervision, escalating more complex issues to the appropriate staff.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Data Science & Technology, Sustainability, Marketing, Business, or Finance.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong influencing abilities.
  • High learning agility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capacity to handle risks and navigate ambiguity.
  • A strong team player who thrives in diverse and multicultural settings.
  • Business fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a significant advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Digital proficiency: strong analytical, quantitative, and numeric skills. Proficient in Excel and knowledgeable in data science tools, visual analytics technologies, and programming languages.
  • Business acumen: comfort with risk-taking and challenging the status quo with knowledge in trading techniques. Ability to extract insights and translate challenges into strategic opportunities.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm: a penchant for intellectual curiosity, creativity, and innovation.
