Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide holistic, evidence-based best practice care for a private individual, focusing on a positive, person-centered approach. The individual's current needs include a diagnosis of dementia, age-related frailties, and any other potential health co-morbidities.
Key Responsibilities
The post-holder will be required to:
- Assess, plan, develop, and implement care programs; provide advice; maintain associated records either manually or digitally.
- Carry out nursing procedures as required in accordance with clinical guidelines.
- Provide clinical supervision to other staff members.
The post-holder will also direct, coordinate, and supervise the work of other staff to promote best practices in caring for clients with dementia. In the absence of the team leader, the post-holder will ensure the effective delivery of care. Any issues should be reported to the line manager.
Qualifications / Essential Requirements
- Swiss or EU passport holder (or Swiss working permit holder).
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration or European/Swiss equivalent.
- Nursing degree or equivalent.
- Completion of Best Practice in Dementia Training or willingness to undertake it.
- Willingness to undergo specific dementia training delivered in English.
- Additional qualifications related to dementia, including stress and distress training and meaningful activity.
- Understanding of the Newcastle Model and/or PINCHME model of behavior assessment.
- Willingness to develop dementia knowledge as part of Continuing Professional Development, either independently or through provided training.
- Specialist dementia qualification or additional studies in related areas.
- Understanding behavior as communication and knowledge of non-pharmacological interventions and strategies.
- Experience in End of Life Care and the ability to develop relevant clinical skills to address co-morbidities and end-of-life care.

- Beauty/Massage Therapy.
- Meaningful Activity experience.
Language Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; ideally, English should be the first language (mother tongue).
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Due to the nature of dementia, effective communication is vital in maintaining the quality of care and reducing stress for the client.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with individuals suffering from dementia is required.

Specific Job Requirements
- Willingness to commit to a shift pattern based in Buckinghamshire, UK, and Switzerland for extended periods (ideally 10-14 days).
- Ability to travel with the client within the UK.
- Availability for unsociable hours, including alternating night sleepovers with another staff member.
- Capability to accompany the client to various venues as part of the role's responsibilities.
- Professional demeanor appropriate to the social standing of the client.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with NMC requirements and organizational policies; a confidentiality agreement will be provided separately.
- Understanding of the client's culture is essential to minimize stress and avoid unnecessary pharmacological interventions.
- Housekeeping duties are also a component of this position.
