Qualifications
- Professional training and certification, including a valid nursing license in Switzerland.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification or its equivalent.
- Strong computer proficiency, highly organized, task-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Driving License is required.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; ability to communicate in French is preferred.

Expectations and Responsibilities
- Provide primary health care for students, including the assessment and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.
- Ability to triage illness and injury, recognizing signs that may indicate more serious issues.
- Interface as needed with local healthcare professionals and pharmacies to provide health care support to students, recognizing the limits of nursing practice and ensuring appropriate referrals to higher levels of care.
- Deliver preventative health care and related education to students.
- Perform functions related to ‘nurse on call’ responsibilities.
- Administer appropriate over-the-counter medications to students when necessary.
- Manage and dispense prescription medications to students, including those on daily controlled medications.
- Assist the school doctor with weekly clinics held on campus.
- Coordinate off-campus health-related appointments and serve as a liaison for off-campus treatments and communications with parents.
- Transport students to local appointments in Leysin when required.
- Collaborate with other nurses to ensure prompt and thorough responses to all communications received at the health center email group.
- Prepare, distribute, and restock first aid supplies for dorms, trips, and excursions.
- Maintain professional conduct regarding health records, confidentiality, and communications.
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Nurse.
