Qualifications
- Professional training and certification, including a valid nursing license in Switzerland
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification or its equivalent
- Proficiency in computer use, with strong organizational and task-oriented skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Driving license is required
- Fluency in written and spoken English; ability to communicate in French is preferred

Expectations and Responsibilities
- Provide primary health care for students, including the assessment and treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.
- Demonstrate the ability to triage illnesses and injuries, recognizing signs that may indicate more serious health issues.
- Interface as needed with local healthcare professionals and pharmacies to offer health care support to students, while recognizing the limits of nursing practice and referring students to appropriate levels of care.
- Provide preventative health care and related education.
- Perform functions related to ‘nurse on call’ responsibilities.
- Administer appropriate over-the-counter medications to students when necessary.
- Manage and dispense prescription medications to students, including those requiring daily controlled medications.
- Assist the school doctor during weekly clinics on campus.
- Help arrange off-campus health-related appointments and serve as a liaison for off-campus treatments, including communication with parents.
- Transport students to local appointments in Leysin when required.
- Collaborate with fellow nurses to ensure prompt and thorough responses to all communications received at the health center email group.
- Prepare, distribute, and restock first aid supplies for dormitories, trips, and excursions.
- Maintain professional conduct concerning health records, confidentiality, and communications.
- Effectively communicate with parents, students, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Nurse.
