Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, executing, and documenting Nuclear Qualification tests (e.g., aging, EMC, climate, seismic) for Gutor components and UPS systems.
  • Maintaining and operating test setups and instruments in compliance with safety and quality procedures.
  • Performing root cause analysis on both system and component levels, proposing corrective actions as needed.
  • Issuing investigation reports and supporting our continuous improvement process.
  • Assisting with lifecycle management (LCM) activities, including the release, upgrade, and discontinuation of Gutor components.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, and Project Management teams to ensure qualification requirements are met.
  • Reviewing and interpreting technical specifications, schematics, and qualification standards.
  • Ensuring the use of calibrated equipment and adherence to internal qualification protocols.
  • Contributing to the improvement of test procedures, tools, and documentation.
  • Conducting failure analysis at the component level, specifically for XXW/SDC systems.

Knowledge and Skills – Required

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working at Gutor, preferably within R&D.
  • In-depth familiarity with Gutor’s process landscape and internal workflows.
  • Thorough knowledge of power electronics utilized in Gutor UPS systems, particularly concerning PCBAs, power modules, driver cards, etc.
  • Proven experience in Nuclear Qualification processes, including electrical, aging, environmental, and seismic testing.
  • Understanding of lifecycle management for Gutor components.
  • Experience in ECO/ECN creation and deviation for BOM upgrades.
  • Basic mechanical understanding.
  • Experience in root cause analysis at the component level, specifically with power devices (semiconductors).
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.

Knowledge and Skills – Desired but Not Essential

  • Experience with full UPS system qualification.
  • Experience in RoHS compliance implementation.
  • Familiarity with international nuclear standards (e.g., RCC-E, IEEE323, IEEE650, IEC61513, IEC60780, 10 CFR 50) and related testing best practices.
  • Experience in minor hardware modifications.
