Job Opening: Music Teacher (IB DP, MYP, and PYP)

The International School of Berne (ISBerne) is excited to announce an opening for the 2025/2026 school year for an IB DP, MYP, and PYP Music Teacher, starting August 2025.

Located near the Swiss capital, Berne, ISBerne is a dynamic, friendly, and thriving institution dedicated to fostering reflective and responsible life-long learners who are active global citizens. Our school ethos is grounded in the attributes of the IB Learner Profile, promoting a constructivist approach to teaching and learning.

As an authorized IB World School, ISBerne offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP, ages 3-11), the Middle Years Programme (MYP, ages 11-16), and the Diploma Programme (DP, ages 16-18), alongside our own ISBerne Diploma.

Founded in October 1961, ISBerne resides in a purpose-built campus featuring:

• Three state-of-the-art science laboratories with dedicated prep rooms

The Position

We are seeking an accomplished IB DP, MYP, and PYP Music Teacher. The ideal candidate will connect with students and build caring professional relationships, bringing experience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching that inspires our students. A strong commitment to promoting intercultural understanding and inclusion is essential. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to take on the MYP/DP Subject Area Leader position.

Required Qualifications

• Excellent and versatile classroom practitioner
• At least 2 years of experience in IB MYP and/or IB DP
• Strong communication skills in English
• Relevant degree and teaching qualification

• An appreciation for working in a small school environment
• Experience in a European international school
• EU Passport
