The International School of Berne (ISBerne) is excited to announce a job opening for the 2025/2026 school year. We are seeking a passionate IB DP, MYP, and PYP Music Teacher to join our dynamic and thriving community starting in August 2025.

Located near the Swiss capital, Berne, ISBerne is dedicated to fostering reflective and responsible life-long learners who are engaged global citizens. Our educational philosophy is grounded in the attributes of the IB Learner Profile, promoting a constructivist approach to teaching and learning.

As an authorized IB World school, ISBerne offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes:

• Primary Years Programme (PYP, ages 3-11)
• Middle Years Programme (MYP, ages 11-16)
• Diploma Programme (DP, ages 16-18)
• The ISBerne Diploma

Founded in October 1961, ISBerne's spacious, purpose-built campus features state-of-the-art facilities, including:

• Three brand new science laboratories with dedicated prep rooms
• A large central library
• Subject-specific classrooms
• A spacious double gym

With an enrollment of approximately 280 students representing around 50 nationalities, ISBerne is supported by a dedicated faculty and administration staff of 50.

The Position

ISBerne is looking for an accomplished IB DP, MYP and PYP Music Teacher. The successful candidate will connect with students and foster caring professional relationships. We value experience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching that inspires our students. A commitment to promoting intercultural understanding and inclusion is essential. The opportunity may also include the MYP/DP Subject Area Leader position.

Requirements

• Excellent and versatile classroom practitioner
• At least 2 years of IB MYP and/or IB DP experience
• Strong communication skills in English
• Appropriate degree and teaching qualification

Desired Qualifications

• An appreciation of working in a small school environment
• Experience in a European international school
• EU Passport
