Purpose

Aiglon College is an international boarding school set in the picturesque Swiss Alps, renowned for its challenging and holistic approach to education. Our Summer Camp welcomes over 500 students aged 8-16 from more than 45 nations each summer. As a member of our Summer Camp staff, you will play a crucial role in embodying the ethos of Aiglon and fostering a positive, enthusiastic environment that ensures a safe and welcoming experience for all participants.

Mission

We aim to provide Summer Camp students with a creative, hands-on, and inspiring approach to DJing and music production. We seek an individual who can share their expertise and engage students in this exciting activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize DJ-focused social evenings in 120-minute sessions, which include:
    • A live DJ set.
    • Mixing fundamentals: creating playlists and beat-matching tracks.
    • DJ controls and effects: utilizing EQ knobs and audio effects such as delay and reverb.
    • Turntable techniques: scratching and beat juggling.
    • Rhythm and performance skills, including finger drumming and rhythm exercises.
    • Explanation of DJ techniques.
    • Supervised student interaction and hands-on practice while ensuring the evening remains dynamic and engaging.
  • Ensure all sessions are fully supervised, utilizing professional equipment in a safe and structured environment.
  • Offer students a dynamic introduction to DJing, fostering musical listening, rhythm, and collaboration skills, and creating a memorable, interactive experience that reflects both creativity and professionalism.
  • Be available to conduct one evening session per week from June 29 to July 27, 2026.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Summer Camp with any additional tasks as required to ensure the smooth operation of the programme.
  • Understand and implement all school policies and procedures, particularly those related to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Embrace the School’s Guiding Principles and uphold the ethos of the School at all times.
