PURPOSE

Aiglon College is an esteemed international boarding school nestled in the picturesque Swiss Alps, renowned for delivering a challenging and holistic education in an inspiring environment. Our Summer Camp welcomes over 500 students aged 8-16 each summer, representing more than 45 different nations.

Summer Camp staff are expected to contribute significantly to the ethos of Aiglon and the overall experience of the Summer Camp. Staff members should embody a positive spirit and actively engage in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all participants.

MISSION

Our mission is to provide Summer Camp students with a creative, hands-on, and inspiring introduction to DJing and music production. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who can share their expertise and engage students in this exciting activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct DJ-focused social evenings in engaging 120-minute sessions, which will include:
    • A live DJ set
    • Mixing fundamentals: creating playlists and beat-matching tracks
    • DJ controls and effects: utilizing EQ knobs and audio effects like delay and reverb
    • Turntable techniques: scratching and beat juggling
    • Rhythm and performance skills, including finger drumming and rhythm exercises
    • Explanation of DJ techniques
    • Supervised student interaction and hands-on practice, maintaining a dynamic and engaging atmosphere
  • Ensure all sessions are fully supervised, utilizing professional equipment in a structured and safe environment.
  • Provide students with a memorable and dynamic introduction to DJing, aimed at developing their musical listening, rhythm, and collaboration skills, while fostering creativity and professionalism.
  • Availability to conduct one evening session per week from June 29 to July 27, 2026.

OTHER TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform any additional tasks as reasonably required by the Director of Summer Camp to ensure the smooth operation of the program.
  • Comprehend and implement all school policies and procedures, particularly those related to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Understand the School’s Guiding Principles and uphold the ethos of the School at all times.
