PURPOSE

Aiglon College is an esteemed international boarding school nestled in the scenic Swiss Alps, renowned for delivering a challenging and holistic education. Our inspiring setting fosters a safe, caring, and supportive environment. Each summer, our Summer Camp hosts over 500 students aged 8 to 16, representing more than 45 countries around the globe.

Summer Camp staff play a crucial role in embodying the ethos of Aiglon and the Summer Camp. We seek enthusiastic individuals who are dedicated to contributing positively to the camp’s work and life, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all participants.

MISSION

Our mission is to provide Summer Camp students with a creative, hands-on, and inspiring introduction to DJing and music production. We are in search of a talented individual who can share their expertise and engage students through enjoyable activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct DJ-focused social evenings lasting 120 minutes, which will include:
    • A live DJ set
    • Mixing fundamentals: creating playlists and beat-matching tracks
    • DJ controls and effects: using EQ knobs and audio effects such as delay and reverb
    • Turntable techniques: scratching and beat juggling
    • Rhythm and performance skills, finger drumming, and rhythm exercises
    • Explanation of various DJ techniques
    • Supervised student interaction and hands-on practice, ensuring a dynamic and engaging atmosphere
  • Ensure that all sessions are fully supervised and conducted using professional equipment within a safe and structured environment.
  • Provide students with a dynamic introduction to DJing, helping them develop musical listening, rhythm, and collaboration skills for a memorable, interactive experience that reflects both creativity and professionalism.
  • Be available to offer one evening session per week between June 29 and July 27, 2026.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Complete any additional tasks reasonably required by the Director of Summer Camp to facilitate the smooth operation of the program.
  • Understand and implement all school policies and procedures, especially those related to the safeguarding of children and young people.
  • Embody the School’s Guiding Principles and uphold the ethos of the School at all times.
