We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals to become part of our shop floor team within the Piece Part Repair department at Zurich Airport. In this role, you will engage in highly specialized processes for aircraft engine components, contributing to the maintenance of the highest standards of quality and precision in aviation. Your Tasks
- Perform thermal coating operations on aircraft engine components using various coating technologies, including plasma coating, arc spraying, and HVOF processes.
- Prepare and post-process components for coating, ensuring surface protection, grit blasting, and blending activities are completed.
- Create and operate robotic programs on 6-axis ABB robots while handling components with dedicated fixtures and equipment.
- Operate, adjust, and maintain coating equipment, which includes changing spray nozzles, refilling coating powder, checking fluids and filters, and performing equipment alignments.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues to ensure machines remain in excellent working condition.
- Collaborate closely with process engineers, equipment specialists, machinists, and laboratory teams to meet technical specifications and quality requirements.
- Interpret OEM repair manuals, drawings, and manufacturing specifications while maintaining a clean and organized workplace according to 5S standards.
Your Profile
- Experience in performing thermal coating operations on aircraft engine components using various advanced coating technologies.
- Skilled in preparing and post-processing components for coating, ensuring thorough surface protection and appropriate pre-treatment procedures.
- Proficient in creating and operating robotic programs on 6-axis ABB robots, with experience in handling components using specialized fixtures.
- Adept at operating, adjusting, and maintaining coating equipment, demonstrating technical expertise in equipment management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and rectify equipment issues promptly.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet quality and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with interpreting OEM repair manuals, drawings, and manufacturing specifications, with a commitment to upholding quality and organization standards.
