Our facility in Visp, Switzerland is expanding, and we are currently seeking a MSAT BioConjugates Process Expert for our Biologics organization. Lonza boasts a strong history in the manufacturing of BioConjugates, ranging from early clinical trials to large-scale commercial supplies. Our dedicated Protein Conjugation Plant (PCP) is recognized as a center of excellence in Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADC) and various classes of BioConjugates. As demand in this field increases, we've implemented new BioConjugation suites within our existing infrastructure as part of Lonza’s Ibex® Dedicate model.

Your Role

In this one-year temporary position, you will significantly contribute to the successful supervision, support, and life cycle management of BioConjugate processes at our Visp facility. You will be instrumental in facilitating communication between various departments, including manufacturing, development, and quality assurance.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the commercial and clinical re-supply BioConjugate GMP campaigns in our Ibex® and Protein Conjugation Plant facilities (small scale and large scale)
• Plan and supervise MSAT activities at the project level to ensure that processes deliver required products with expected quality in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
• Lead process troubleshooting on the manufacturing floor as necessary
• Manage change control
• Support process validation activities
• Represent the facility during process-specific inspections and audits as a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
• Assist in the preparation of GMP clinical re-supply and commercial campaigns as part of a project team (including tech transfer, scale up, GMP documentation, and equipment)

Your Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Bioconjugation, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Organic Chemistry, or related fields
• Significant experience in Bioconjugation, biopharma manufacturing, and/or process development, preferably in BioConjugates or DSP (Mammalian or Microbial)
• cGMP experience and deep understanding of Bioprocess technology
• Excellent communication skills for interactions with customers and project teams
• Proficient in English; German language skills are an advantage
• Creative, agile, and open-minded approach
