Job Title: MSAT Principle Scientist – 7049
We are seeking a highly skilled Cleaning Process Excellence professional in Biomanufacturing to join our client, a global leader in the biopharmaceutical industry. This position offers an opportunity to work at a state-of-the-art biologics manufacturing facility on a three-month contract.
In this pivotal role, you will serve as the technical owner of manufacturing cleaning processes, driving continuous improvement in equipment cleaning strategies, CIP/COP systems, and overall process robustness. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including Manufacturing, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC), Engineering, Automation, Validation, and external customers to ensure that our cleaning processes are efficient, compliant with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ready for inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and continuously enhance manufacturing cleaning processes and equipment cleaning strategies.
- Develop compliant cleaning concepts in partnership with QA and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive the standardization and optimization of cleaning processes across manufacturing assets.
- Lead CIP/COP improvement initiatives to boost process robustness and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate the development of cleaning methods with Manufacturing, QC, R&D, and QA departments.
- Conduct cleaning-related risk assessments and facilitate the implementation of necessary actions.
- Support process transfers, manufacturing campaigns, investigations, deviations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the technical expert for equipment cleaning during customer interactions, audits, and inspections.
- Identify and implement innovative cleaning technologies along with industry best practices.
- Ensure all activities adhere to GMP requirements and approved procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Strong experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing within a GMP-regulated environment.
- Expertise in equipment cleaning processes, CIP/COP systems, process improvement, and manufacturing support.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and effectively resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is considered advantageous.
