About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems capable of carrying up to 500 kilograms. The company offers industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo transport.
Your Mission
- Simulate and evaluate mission scenarios using flight mechanics and performance models.
- Assess aircraft performance, efficiency, and operational limits across the flight envelope.
- Analyze flight test and simulation data to evaluate aircraft behavior, energy consumption, and mission KPIs.
- Support the development of mission planning tools and flight envelope visualization.
- Interpret results from flight dynamics models (e.g., FlightLab, MATLAB) to extract actionable insights.
- Track and manage aircraft mass properties using a structured weight breakdown, including weight maturity (Estimated / Calculated / Actual) and center of gravity calculations.
- Identify and provide relevant performance and dynamics data to support FCS and autopilot functions, including:
- Performance limits and operational boundaries.
- Mass properties and aircraft configurations.
- Aerodynamic and stability-related characteristics.
- Ensure consistency between flight physics models, mission analysis, and control system needs.
- Support simulation-in-the-loop (SIL) and integrated validation activities.
- Contribute to trajectory optimization and contingency scenario definition.
- Document assumptions, analyses, and recommendations for system and mission improvements.
Your Profile
- MSc in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- Strong understanding of flight mechanics and aircraft performance.
- Experience with flight simulation and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, FlightLab, XPlane, or similar).
- Solid skills in data analysis and scripting (e.g., MATLAB, Python).
- Ability to interpret and work with simulation models and engineering data.
- Understanding of flight control system principles and data needs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Language: Good English language skills (oral and written); German is desirable.
