Position Overview

This role is part of our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect global producers and users of grains and oilseeds through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. Additionally, we offer a variety of farmer services and risk management solutions.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Middle Office Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate entry of all components related to Daily Position and PNL. This position will support financial analysis pertinent to the Business Group’s activities, engage in profitability and month-end reporting, identify process improvements, contribute to data management and visualization, and respond to ad hoc management requests. This role includes opportunities for global networking across Cargill and collaboration with diverse cultures and nationalities. Regular performance reviews will be conducted, and development goals will be established to unlock potential for future senior roles or transitions into other business groups.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform moderately complex operational activities including trade confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and all trade life cycle events, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
  • Act as a vital liaison with traders, external business partners, and other internal and external stakeholders to manage operational tasks, provide timely responses, and collaboratively resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor and execute system processes, control reports, system feeds, reference and static data, error analysis, and remediation actions.
  • Gather and input all necessary data into systems, ensuring both accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify and propose process and system improvements to mitigate risks, decrease costs, and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required, typically reflecting 3 years or more of relevant experience.
