About the Role

This position is part of our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds worldwide through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also provide a variety of farmer services and risk management solutions.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Middle Office Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate entry of all components of Daily Position & PNL. The analyst will support the delivery of financial analysis linked to the Business Group’s activities, engage in profitability and month-end reporting, identify opportunities for process improvement, contribute to data management and visualization, and respond to ad hoc management requests. This position offers the chance to collaborate with diverse teams across various locations, expanding your professional network globally within Cargill while embracing different cultures and nationalities. Regular performance reviews will be conducted, and development goals will be set to unlock potential for future senior roles or transition into a different business group.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform moderately complex operational activities including trade confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, and all trade life cycle events, ensuring adherence to internal and external completion dates as well as compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
  • Act as a key liaison with traders, external business partners, and other internal and external counterparties to manage operational tasks, provide timely responses, and collaborate to resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor and execute system processes, control reports, system feeds, reference and static data, error analysis, and remediation actions.
  • Gather and load all required data into systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify and propose process and system improvements to mitigate risks, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
