  • Interpreting analytical data, troubleshooting deviations, and delivering high-quality technical reports.
  • Overseeing and executing stability studies.
  • Developing and documenting SOPs related to analytical methods, equipment operation, and laboratory workflows.
  • Ensuring that analytical instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and compliant with internal and external quality standards.
  • Supporting, training, and guiding junior lab personnel to foster continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance laboratory efficiency and data accuracy through methodological innovation or new technologies.
  • Contributing to the selection, qualification, and commissioning of new laboratory equipment.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a hands-on, analytical, and detail-oriented scientist thriving in a dynamic research environment. Curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset are essential attributes that will help advance Nutreco’s phytotechnology program.

  • Master’s or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Professional laboratory experience—ideally within phytochemistry, food, or feed sectors.
  • Strong proficiency in analytical chemistry, including HPLC and sample preparation techniques (e.g., SPE, flash chromatography).
  • Solid understanding of plant phytochemistry and its application in analytical method development.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot analytical challenges and enhance testing workflows.
  • Attention to detail in documentation, data integrity, and reporting; GMP experience is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
