Job Opportunity: Medical Program Lead

The Medical Program Lead will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of medical pre-launch and launch assets. This position will uphold the highest scientific and ethical standards to ensure success. Key activities include implementing medical affairs tactics, supporting scientific communications, publications, and clinical studies, as well as providing ongoing assistance to cross-functional teams based at headquarters, including Marketing, Patient Access, and Community Engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The Medical Program Lead will execute the therapeutic area (TA) global medical strategy, including the following deliverables:

  • Build and execute global medical strategy and tactical plans (pre-launch and launch).
  • Manage engagement with global Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the field.
  • Contribute to clinical studies.
  • Deliver internal and external medical/scientific communication and education materials.
  • Create training materials for external and internal training sessions.
  • Provide scientific input for external and internal scientific publications.
  • Support cross-functional projects.
  • Offer scientific guidance in the development of materials driven by cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, the Medical Program Lead should:

  • Possess and continuously develop a significant knowledge base in the therapeutic area.

  • Foster collaboration within the cross-functional headquarters team, local affiliate offices, and partnering organizations.
  • Exemplify the highest scientific and ethical standards while adhering to applicable regulations regarding medical activities.

Experiences and Competencies

  • M.D. with board certification in Internal Medicine specialty.
  • Over 15 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • Certified training in conducting clinical trials and epidemiological studies.
  • Experience working across various countries and regions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the therapeutic area.
  • Experience with global and regional product launches.
  • Proven ability to engage with key external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated capability to build and execute strategic and tactical medical plans.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating and analyzing medical/scientific literature.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong intercultural competencies.
