Our client in the Sargans region specializes in developing technical components, devices, and automation solutions for various development and production processes. To support their expansion, we are seeking an experienced professional in the field of design for a temporary engagement lasting approximately 6 to 9 months.
Job Description
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting development and production throughout all phases of product and prototype creation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Mechanical design of plastic, metal, and PCB components using SolidWorks
- Exchange and management of CAD files in OnShape
- Design and manufacture of devices and simple automation elements
- Rapid prototyping utilizing 3D printing, sheet metal, plastics, and profile materials
- Construction of prototypes for camera housings, lens holders, reflectors, and precision mechanical components
- Assembly of small mechanical precision components in the micrometer range
- Maintenance and enhancement of internal manufacturing and automation systems
We Expect
- Completed training as a Design Engineer EFZ or equivalent technical qualification
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design
- Experience in prototype construction and processing of plastics and aluminum
- Proficient handling of workshop equipment, including cutting, drilling, milling, CNC machines, and 3D printing
- Very good knowledge of SolidWorks, OnShape is a plus
- Creative and solution-oriented working style, high reliability, and effective teamwork
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
