Company Description
Our client is a high-tech company in the field of optoelectronics and CMOS sensor technology, founded in 2006. They specialize in the development and production of Time-of-Flight technology, including TOF chips, camera modules, and custom solutions for navigation and 3D object recognition. To strengthen their R&D team, they are seeking a technically skilled and creative individual for the position of Designer / Mechanical Design Engineer for a temporary assignment of approximately 6 to 9 months.
Job Description
- Mechanical design of plastic, metal, and circuit board components (SolidWorks, OnShape)
- Prototyping using 3D printing, as well as sheet metal and plastic processing
- Design and construction of fixtures and automation elements
- Manufacturing and assembly of precision components in the micrometer range
- Support production during series launches and tooling construction
- Maintenance and further development of internal manufacturing and automation systems
Requirements
- Degree as a Mechanical Engineer FH or Technician HF in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in mechanical design
- Experience in prototyping (plastic and aluminum)
- Practical experience with workshop and CNC machines, as well as 3D printing
- Very good SolidWorks skills; OnShape experience is a plus
- Creative, solution-oriented, a team player, and communicative
- Fluency in German and English
