Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems and components for unmanned helicopters. Your role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that mechanical designs comply with performance specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Your Main Tasks

Mechanical Design: Design and develop mechanical systems for unmanned helicopters, including structural components, landing gear, propulsion systems, control mechanisms, and rotor head systems.

Analysis and Simulation: Conduct mechanical analysis and simulations, such as finite element analysis, to assess the structural integrity and performance of designs under various load conditions.

Prototyping and Testing: Collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams to build prototypes and conduct tests, validating mechanical designs to ensure compliance with specifications.

Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering documentation, which includes design specifications, testing procedures, and maintenance manuals.

Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, aerodynamic, and software engineering teams to ensure integrated design and performance of the unmanned helicopter systems.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the manned helicopter industry.
- A strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX) and simulation tools.
- Excellent communication skills along with strong analytical abilities and social skills.
