Teacher of Mathematics
100% – August 2026 to July 2028
Responsibilities
- Deliver effective Mathematics teaching and learning throughout the secondary school.
- Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Mathematics programmes.
- Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum, including resource selection and management in the classroom.
- Identify SEN students and collaborate to ensure their needs are met.
- Lead projects and work independently as required.
- Promote health and safety within assigned classes.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings.
- Support a program of trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
- Promote positive relationships between Mathematics and the wider community through collaborations, publications, and competitions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Subject-related degree and PGCE or equivalent.
- Proven track record of excellence in teaching with at least three years of experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics preferred; MYPS and/or A-level experience is a minimum requirement.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
- Able to share your passion for teaching effectively.
- Capability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Able to inspire mixed-culture and ability classes by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.
- Support student needs in both learning and pastoral matters.
- Must possess a clear criminal background record.
