Position: Teacher of Mathematics
Commitment: 100% – Starting as soon as possible until June 2026
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective teaching of Mathematics throughout the secondary school.
- Participate in designing, developing, implementing, and reviewing the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Mathematics programmes.
- Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to designated classes, including resource selection and classroom management.
- Identify students with special educational needs (SEN) and collaborate to ensure their requirements are met.
- Lead projects and work independently to achieve educational goals.
- Promote health and safety within assigned classes.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings.
- Contribute to a range of trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Enhance the professional stature of our teaching staff.
- Foster positive relationships between Mathematics and the wider community through collaboration, publications, competitions, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Relevant subject degree and PGCE or equivalent qualification.
- A proven record of excellence in teaching, with at least three years of experience, ideally in an international setting.
- Experience in teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics is preferred; MYPS and/or A Level experience is a minimum requirement.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
- A genuine passion for teaching that can inspire students.
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Capability to motivate mixed-culture and ability classes by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.
- Aptitude for supporting student needs in both learning and pastoral matters.
- Clear criminal record.
