Position: Teacher of Mathematics
Type: 100% – Immediate start until June 2026
Responsibilities
- Deliver effective teaching and learning of Mathematics throughout the secondary school.
- Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Mathematics programs.
- Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum, including selecting and managing resources efficiently in the classroom.
- Identify SEN students and collaborate with colleagues to meet their needs.
- Lead projects and work independently.
- Promote health and safety in assigned classes.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings.
- Contribute to a variety of trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
- Foster positive relationships between Mathematics and the wider community through cooperative initiatives, publications, and competitions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in a related subject and PGCE or equivalent.
- Proven track record of excellence in teaching with at least three years of experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics preferred; MYPS and/or A level experience is a minimum requirement.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.
- Passion for teaching and the ability to share that enthusiasm with students.
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Capable of inspiring mixed-culture and mixed-ability classes by creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.
- Support students' needs in both learning and pastoral matters.
- Clear criminal record.
