Position: Teacher of Mathematics and Science
Type: 100% – 2 year contract – January 2026
Responsibilities:
- Deliver the teaching and learning of Mathematics and lower secondary science effectively throughout the secondary school.
- Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Mathematics and Science programmes.
- Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom.
- Identify SEN students and work collaboratively to ensure their needs are met.
- Lead projects and work independently where required.
- Promote the health and safety of assigned classes.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to regular staff training meetings.
- Contribute to a programme of trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
- Foster a positive relationship between Mathematics and the wider community through cooperative relations, publications, competitions, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A subject-related degree and PGCE or equivalent.
- A proven track record of excellence in teaching with at least three years of experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Experience in teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics preferred; MYPS and/or A Level experience is a minimum requirement.
- Ability to teach lower secondary science and/or IGCSE/IBDP Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
- A passion for teaching and the ability to share that enthusiasm.
- Capability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Aptitude for inspiring mixed culture and ability classes, creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for all students.
- Support student needs in learning and pastoral matters.
- Clear criminal records.
