Teacher of Mathematics and Science
Contract: 100% – 2 years – Starting January 2026
Responsibilities:
- Deliver effective teaching and learning of Mathematics and lower secondary science throughout the secondary school.
- Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP Mathematics and Science programmes.
- Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure efficient delivery of the curriculum, including resource selection and classroom management.
- Identify SEN students and collaborate to meet their needs.
- Lead projects and work independently.
- Promote the health and safety of assigned classes.
- Engage in professional development and contribute to regular staff training and meetings.
- Support the planning of trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Enhance the professional standing of the teaching body.
- Foster a positive relationship between Mathematics and the wider community through collaborative efforts, publications, competitions, and more.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Subject-related degree and PGCE or equivalent.
- Proven excellence in teaching, with a minimum of three years' experience, ideally in an international environment.
- Experience teaching IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics preferred; MYPS and/or A level experience is a minimum requirement.
- Ability to teach lower secondary science and/or IGCSE/IBDP Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
- A genuine passion for teaching.
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
- Capacity to inspire mixed culture and ability classes by creating challenging and engaging learning experiences.
- Commitment to supporting student needs in learning and pastoral matters.
- Clear criminal record.
