Join our team as a Material Planner at the Production Site Kaiseraugst. The Materials Management Organization is fundamental to our operations, encompassing production planning, detailed scheduling, materials planning, and master data management. In this pivotal role within our Planning Community, you will ensure reliable and robust supply at one of the largest Drug Product Manufacturing Sites in the Roche network.

Your Role

As a Material Planner, you will be responsible for planning and managing a diverse portfolio of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials, process aids, and excipients. Your efforts will ensure continuous availability in line with an optimized production schedule for Sterile and Packaging Manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate is a self-directed supply chain professional with experience in procurement, planning, and purchasing. You possess a process-oriented mindset, anticipate operational issues, and effectively manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. A proactive problem-solver with a lean mindset, you take full ownership of new challenges and collaborate seamlessly across stakeholders. Excellent communication and influencing skills in both English and German are essential for this role.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Ensure our manufacturing units are adequately supplied with direct materials, including packaging materials, process aids, and production-supporting auxiliary materials.
• Manage inventory and define risk mitigation actions while implementing measures for efficient processes, including safety stock management and process optimization.
• Act as the point of contact for all related suppliers regarding deliveries and tracking of purchase orders.
• Maintain effective communication among all business partners, including Manufacturing Units, Procurement, External Suppliers, Production Schedulers, Quality, Warehouse, and Logistics.
• Drive continuous improvement processes, challenge the status quo, and collaborate on projects within Materials Management in cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

Must Haves:

• A supply chain professional with experience in procurement, planning, or purchasing.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple topics while understanding the impact of your role and anticipating operational issues.
• Proven ability to think through processes, considering upstream and downstream stakeholders to achieve results.
• Initiative to embrace new opportunities, convey a sense of urgency, and lead responsibilities or challenges.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German, with the ability to influence across all organizational levels.
• Self-directed individual with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, passionate about teamwork and continuous improvement.
