Your Role
As a Master Data Manager focused on the Value Chain, you will play a critical role in shaping and enhancing Master Data across our global operations. This position blends strategic development, operational improvement, and cross-functional coordination, with a primary focus on advancing the Master Data agenda within our Phoenix S/4HANA transformation.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic Development & Transformation
- Lead the strategic development of Master Data within the Phoenix S/4HANA transformation environment.
- Drive the Big Rock "Master Data" initiative and support the creation of a future-ready end-to-end Master Data operating model.
- Define ownership, governance principles, and future standards across divisions and functions.
- Ensure alignment with Data Migration, Business Workstream Leads, and transformation priorities.
Operational Master Data Improvement
- Identify operational Master Data pain points and transform them into sustainable improvements.
- Drive structured data quality initiatives within relevant business areas.
- Establish KPIs, validation rules, and conduct regular health reviews.
- Enhance process stability by minimizing inconsistencies and manual interventions.
- Support workflow-based improvements for Master Data changes and approvals.
Interface & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a central contact point for Master Data requirements across Direct & Indirect Sourcing, TT&L, P2P, Planning & Fulfillment, and Supplier Base Management.
- Link business requirements with governance standards and IT implementation.
- Ensure close collaboration with Global Master Data Governance, process owners, and business stakeholders.
Your Qualifications
- Several years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or related business environments.
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, particularly within transformation or migration contexts.
- Good understanding of end-to-end value chain processes, especially in sourcing, planning, logistics, or procurement.
- Experience in driving cross-functional improvements and translating business needs into sustainable solutions.
- Ability to merge strategic thinking with operational execution.
- Strong analytical skills and a structured working style.
- Effective communication skills across various organizational levels.
- Proficient in aligning stakeholders and providing clarity in complex environments.
- Demonstrated high level of ownership, initiative, and implementation strength.
- Pragmatic approach with a focus on business impact.
- Fluency in English and German.
