Position Overview
The Marketing Manager/Marketing Project Manager serves as a vital link between corporate marketing and the Business Unit (BU), managing and overseeing the execution of all marketing activities related to precision medicine applications. This role involves defining and managing BU-specific marketing projects, ensuring the needs of the BU are met, and prioritizing the unique value propositions of our products. Additionally, it ensures that corporate needs and strategies are effectively communicated back to the BU, aligning product strategies with broader corporate objectives.
This position reports to the Business Unit Head and is part of the Profiler Business Unit located in Basel, Switzerland. This is an on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop engaging marketing stories in collaboration with BU scientists and product management, while coordinating the creation of marketing collateral such as product brochures, application notes, customer presentations, and scientific communications including abstracts and posters.
- Promote customer success stories through the development of case studies, webinars, and posters, while maintaining a strong network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) within our user community.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage all BU-specific marketing activities alongside corporate marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the value of our enterprise software solutions and translate this into marketing materials that emphasize business values.
- Plan and manage marketing campaigns aimed at generating quality leads through both traditional (in-person) and digital channels (e.g., mailers, webinars).
- Drive lead generation through effective marketing material and support the sales team in their lead nurturing activities.
Essential Requirements
- A degree, Master's, or Ph.D. in life or data science.
- 5+ years of experience in precision medicine/biomarker research within the biopharma sector, with familiarity in industry processes and challenges.
- Proficiency in project management, including experience with project management tools and processes.
- Knowledge of enterprise software solutions.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a proven track record in creating high-quality marketing content tailored for diverse audiences and channels.
- A strong ability to collaborate, network, and influence within a cross-functional environment, accompanied by excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A high degree of initiative, commitment to quality work, meticulous attention to detail, and a hands-on attitude.
- An interest in enterprise business development and sales, along with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Fluency in English at a native or bilingual level (written and spoken).
