Marketing Director / Marketing Directress

Rippling Switzerland GmbH - February 23, 2026

Marketing Director

BFL's founding team invented Latent Diffusion and transformed FLUX into a renowned model with over 400 million downloads. We have secured significant enterprise partnerships with Meta and have achieved remarkable annual recurring revenue (ARR) at a rapid pace. We are now at a pivotal moment where pioneering AI research meets vast market opportunities, and we aim to lead that narrative.

With our world-class frontier models and strong enterprise traction, we are seeking a marketing leader who can develop a powerful content engine, enhance our community presence, and create brand experiences that position BFL as the undeniable leader in visual AI.

Why This Role Matters

BFL competes with major players in AI, such as Google and OpenAI, yet many remain unaware of our existence. We currently rely on partner channels for outreach, while our own X, YouTube, and blog are underperforming. We possess an incredible origin story; however, we lack a systematic approach to content creation, community engagement, and brand visibility to share it on a large scale.

You will be responsible for crafting the complete marketing narrative—from thought leadership content that showcases our founders as pioneers to social strategies that build our audience, as well as creating engaging events and experiences that foster community momentum.

This Role Exists To:

  • Establish BFL as the clear leader in visual AI through a consistent and compelling narrative.
  • Build a repeatable content and community engine that drives developer adoption and enterprise demand.
  • Grow our owned audience to reduce dependency on partner channels for reach.

What You'll Do

Own brand, content, social, events, and communications that position BFL as the authoritative voice in visual AI.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Develop a systematic content engine: educational guides, use case libraries, collaborative technical blog posts, and customer case studies.
  • Position the founding team as visual AI pioneers through articles, podcasts, conference presentations, and media features.
  • Create a "Visual AI Use Case Library" that addresses practical application problems by demonstrating what can be built with FLUX.
  • Establish the BFL blog as a must-read destination for visual AI developers and enterprises.

Social & Owned Channels

  • Expand BFL's presence on X, YouTube, and LinkedIn to achieve competitive reach.
  • Develop a content calendar featuring bi-weekly educational series, monthly highlights, and continuous engagement opportunities.
  • Foster an engaged developer community through a consistent social presence beyond initial launch spikes.
  • Initiate a "Built with FLUX" showcase program with enhanced social amplification.

Events & Community Experiences

  • Design and implement impactful brand activations at conferences and industry events.
  • Create and execute community events (both online and offline) that promote API adoption and FLUX utilization.
  • Establish a presence in the US and EU through meetups, demos, and creator showcases.

Communications & PR

  • Collaborate on messaging and narratives for product launches, funding announcements, and significant milestones.
  • Prepare persuasive media content and press materials that tell compelling stories.
  • Develop talking points and narrative frameworks to translate technical advancements into market stories.

Brand Strategy & Narrative

  • Lead the market positioning strategy: What category do we win in? How do we differentiate from our competitors?
  • Create brand guidelines, voice principles, and messaging frameworks in partnership with leadership.
  • Establish and monitor brand health metrics (awareness, consideration, preference).

You Might Be a Fit If You Bring:

  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience at high-growth tech companies, ideally in developer tools, infrastructure, or AI/ML.
  • A proven track record in building marketing functions from the ground up.
  • Experience across content, social, events, and communications; you are a generalist capable of developing a full marketing stack.
  • Strong storytelling abilities; you can convey complex technology in an engaging and relatable way.
  • Demonstrated success in building owned audiences.

Content, Creative & Community Fluency

  • Adept in creative direction and visual aesthetics; capable of guiding content creation, briefing designers, and producing eye-catching posts that highlight FLUX's capabilities.
  • Experience in building systematic content engines rather than one-off campaigns.
  • A strong understanding of developer communities and techniques for engaging technical audiences authentically.
  • Event production experience including hackathons, conferences, community meetups, and brand activations.
  • A track record of transforming technical founders into thought leaders.

Execution & Leadership

  • Comfortable operating in a startup environment and building from the ground up—initially hands-on while developing a team over time.
  • Data-driven in measuring content performance, social reach, and brand impact.
  • Possesses strong project management skills, capable of coordinating complex launches with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams to convert research breakthroughs into market opportunities.
  • Low ego and high ownership; focused on building something impactful rather than on titles or hierarchy.

What Success Looks Like After 6 Months

  • BFL's presence is significantly enhanced; we've successfully bridged the perception gap and are recognized as a category leader in visual AI.
  • Memorable experiences that embody the BFL brand have been created; our campaigns and events are distinct, fostering brand recall.
  • The content engine is operational: the BFL blog publishes 8-10 pieces monthly, including educational content, case studies, and technical posts, with social media executing consistently across all channels.
  • Our owned audience is growing, evidenced by measurable increases in followers, engagement, and community involvement; the "Built with FLUX" showcase program is successfully launched.
  • High-impact brand experiences are executed at events, resulting in measurable API conversion and a series of community competitions launched across the US and Europe.
  • Brand positioning is clearly defined and adopted internally; messaging frameworks are established for sales, partnerships, and external communications.
  • Leadership has secured media placements, speaking opportunities, and published thought leadership in targeted outlets.
  • At least one innovative marketing campaign has been enacted that highlights FLUX’s capabilities and boosts brand awareness.
  • A regular collaboration rhythm with the comms/PR team has been established to support narrative development for launches and announcements.
  • A clear roadmap for scaling the marketing function has been created, outlining what to develop internally versus through agency support, identifying future hiring needs, and measuring impact.
