Marketing Director / Marketing Directoress

Rippling Switzerland GmbH - February 14, 2026

Marketing Director

BFL's founding team invented Latent Diffusion and transformed FLUX into models with over 400 million downloads, securing enterprise partnerships with Meta and achieving significant Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) faster than almost any company in history. We are at the inflection point where frontier AI research meets massive market opportunity, and we aim to lead that narrative.

With world-class frontier models and strong enterprise traction, we are looking for a marketing leader capable of building the content engine, community presence, and brand experiences that position BFL as the clear leader in visual AI.

Why This Role Matters

BFL competes with giants like Google and OpenAI, yet many have yet to hear our story. While we rely on partner channels for our reach, our own channels—such as X, YouTube, and our blog—are underperforming. We possess an incredible origin story, but we lack the systematic content, community engagement, and brand presence to narrate it on a larger scale.

In this role, you'll oversee the entire marketing narrative—from thought leadership that positions our founders as pioneers to social strategies that cultivate an owned audience, to events and experiences that foster community momentum.

This Role Exists To:

  • Transform BFL into the obvious leader in visual AI through a clear, consistent narrative.
  • Build a repeatable content and community engine that drives developer adoption and enterprise demand.
  • Grow our owned audience, reducing our reliance on partner channels for reach.

What You'll Do

Own brand, content, social, events, and communications that establish BFL as the definitive authority in visual AI.

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Develop a systematic content engine: educational guides, use case libraries, collaborate on technical blog posts, and customer case studies.
  • Position the founding team as visual AI pioneers through bylines, podcasts, conference talks, and media features.
  • Create a "Visual AI Use Case Library" that addresses practical application challenges—demonstrating what to build with FLUX.
  • Establish the BFL blog as a must-read destination for visual AI developers and enterprises.

Social & Owned Channels

  • Scale BFL's X, YouTube, and LinkedIn for competitive reach.
  • Create a content calendar with bi-weekly educational series, monthly spotlights, and continuous engagement.
  • Build an engaged developer community through a systematic social presence, rather than just launch spikes.
  • Develop a "Built with FLUX" showcase program with social amplification.

Events & Community Experiences

  • Create memorable brand activations at conferences and industry events.
  • Design and execute community events (both online and offline) that directly drive API adoption and FLUX usage.
  • Build a presence in the US and EU through meetups, demos, and creator showcases.

Communications & PR

  • Collaborate on messaging and narrative for product launches, funding announcements, and major milestones.
  • Support media preparation and press materials with compelling content and storytelling.
  • Develop talking points and narrative frameworks that translate technical breakthroughs into market stories.

Brand Strategy & Narrative

  • Lead BFL's market positioning strategy: What category do we win? How do we differentiate from competitors?
  • Develop brand guidelines, voice principles, and messaging frameworks in collaboration with leadership.
  • Define and track brand health metrics such as awareness, consideration, and preference.

You Might Be a Fit If You Bring:

  • 5+ years in marketing leadership at high-growth tech companies, ideally in developer tools, infrastructure, or AI/ML.
  • A track record of building marketing functions from the ground up.
  • Experience across content, social, events, and communications; you’re a generalist who can build a full marketing stack.
  • Strong storytelling ability; you know how to make complex technology compelling.
  • Proven success in building owned audiences.

Content, Creative & Community Fluency

  • Strong creative direction and visual taste; you can art direct compelling content, brief designers and video producers, and create engaging posts that showcase FLUX capabilities.
  • Experience in building systematic content engines, not just one-off campaigns.
  • A strong understanding of developer communities and how to engage technical audiences authentically.
  • Event production experience, including hackathons, conferences, community meetups, and brand activations.
  • A proven track record of turning technical founders into thought leaders.

Execution & Leadership

  • Comfort and capability in building from 0 to 1 with minimal resources. You are hands-on initially, building a team over time.
  • A data-driven approach to measuring content performance, social reach, and brand impact.
  • Strong project management skills; you can coordinate complex launches across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with technical teams, translating research breakthroughs into market opportunities.
  • Low ego with high ownership; you are focused on building something great, not on title or hierarchy.

Success Metrics After 6 Months

  • BFL is perceived as a visual AI category leader, not just a research lab, and our brand presence is competitive with leading players such as Google and OpenAI.
  • Our events, campaigns, and content feel unique and personal, distinguishing BFL in the market. Customers remember us, and the market is being educated about what visual AI can accomplish.
  • The content engine is running smoothly, with the BFL blog publishing 8-10x/month featuring educational content, case studies, and technical posts. A consistent social calendar is executed across all channels.
  • We see measurable growth in followers, engagement, and community participation, with the "Built with FLUX" showcase program launched featuring regular creators.
  • High-impact brand experiences are planned and executed successfully, along with community competitions showing measurable API conversion and an event series launched across the US and Europe.
  • The market positioning strategy is clear and adopted internally; messaging frameworks are in place for sales, partnerships, and external communications.
  • Leadership visibility is increased with secured media placements, speaking opportunities, and published thought leadership in target outlets.
  • At least one creative marketing campaign is executed that showcases FLUX capabilities and boosts brand awareness.
  • A regular collaboration cadence with the comms/PR team supports narrative development for product launches and announcements.
