Role Overview
The Swiss Factory is pivotal to our success at Accelleron. To enhance efficiency and achieve manufacturing excellence, we invest in cutting-edge technologies, including automated robot cells. As an IS Manufacturing Application Owner and Process Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring seamless factory operations while serving as a technical expert and consultant for new solutions.
Your Responsibilities
Process Engineering:
- Analyze, enhance, and optimize IS systems supporting production and assembly processes.
- Consult with business teams on investment projects and process optimizations within the IS application landscape.
- Leverage existing IS systems and solutions for effective application and continuous improvement, while identifying opportunities for innovative solutions.
- Evaluate new investments and applications using a structured, transparent approach to ensure alignment with IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Identify trends and key enabling technologies in Industry 4.0 to enhance business process efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to uncover technology-driven process improvement opportunities.
Application Ownership:
- Manage a segment of the Factory Applications Portfolio, including solutions like guidance systems for automated manufacturing cells, IoT device integration, and shop floor connectivity.
- Ensure seamless integration of Backend Systems (ERP, MES) with Manufacturing Control Systems and production equipment.
- Define application roadmaps and long-term manufacturing application strategies.
- Collaborate with business process owners and IS delivery teams to drive value creation through advanced technologies.
- Ensure IS security and compliance within the production application landscape, working closely with IS security teams.
Project Management:
- Serve as the central point of contact for IT hardware and software integration in large-scale investment projects.
- Lead IT system integration efforts for new production equipment.
- Oversee projects from inception and design through to successful implementation.
- Drive process digitalization as a subject matter expert to ensure end-to-end process improvement for all new investments.
Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial environment or equivalent project experience.
- Strong expertise in modern production IT applications and MES systems.
- Proven experience as an application owner in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in IT infrastructure (networking, cybersecurity, hardware integration) is a plus.
- Solid project management experience with agile/hybrid methodologies.
- Fluency in English and German (business proficiency required).
