Your Role: IS Manufacturing Application Owner and Process Engineer
The Swiss Factory plays a pivotal role in Accelleron’s success. To enhance efficiency and achieve manufacturing excellence, we invest in innovative technologies, such as automated robot cells. As the IS Manufacturing Application Owner and Process Engineer, you will be crucial in ensuring smooth factory operations while acting as a technical expert and consultant for new solutions.
You will serve as the primary contact for production and assembly departments concerning factory integration and process improvement initiatives. As a member of the Factory Integration Team at our global headquarters in Baden, Switzerland, you will gain deep insights into Accelleron's processes and application landscape.
Your Responsibilities
Process Engineering:
- Analyze, enhance, and optimize IS systems that support production and assembly processes.
- Consult business teams on investment projects and process optimizations within the IS application landscape.
- Leverage existing IS systems and solutions for effective application and continuous improvement while identifying opportunities for innovative solutions.
- Evaluate new investments and applications with a structured, transparent approach to ensure alignment with IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity.
- Identify trends and key enabling technologies in Industry 4.0 to improve business process efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with business teams to identify technology-driven process improvement opportunities.
Application Ownership:
- Manage a segment of the Factory Applications Portfolio, including solutions such as guidance systems for automated manufacturing cells, IoT device integration, and shop floor connectivity.
- Ensure seamless integration of Backend Systems (ERP, MES) with Manufacturing Control Systems and production equipment.
- Define application roadmaps and long-term strategies for manufacturing applications.
- Collaborate with business process owners and IS delivery teams to drive value creation through advanced technologies.
- Ensure IS security and compliance within the production application landscape in close cooperation with IS security teams.
Project Management:
- Act as the central point of contact for IT hardware and software integration in large-scale investment projects.
- Lead IT system integration efforts for new production equipment.
- Oversee projects from initiation and design to successful implementation.
- Act as a subject matter expert in process digitalization to ensure comprehensive process improvements for all new investments.
Your Background
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within an industrial environment or equivalent project experience during studies.
- Strong expertise in modern production IT applications and MES systems.
- Proven experience as an application owner in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in IT infrastructure (networking, cybersecurity, hardware integration) is a plus.
- Solid project management experience (agile/hybrid methodologies).
- Fluent in English and German (business proficiency required).
