Job Opportunity: Head of Operations and Strategic Growth
Join Tradeon SA, a Swiss-based trade finance company specializing in financing real commodity flows through structured purchase and sale agreements. We are seeking a dynamic leader to drive our operations and spearhead our strategic growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the requirements of our affiliation with a Swiss Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO), adhering to Swiss anti-money laundering (AML) and lending regulations.
- Originate, structure, and execute trade finance transactions across global commodity markets.
- Develop and implement innovative investment structures to broaden investor access to trade finance assets.
- Define and drive company strategies to support business expansion and enhance market positioning.
- Lead business development initiatives by identifying new markets, products, and partnerships.
- Act as a central relationship manager for investors, focusing on attracting and retaining investment in trade finance assets.
- Oversee all budgeting, governance, and operational activities within the company.
- Establish and maintain robust relationships with Swiss and international financial institutions to facilitate transaction execution, cash management, and client onboarding.
- Drive corporate governance initiatives, oversee internal policies, and support organizational development.
- Supervise cross-functional teams, encompassing legal, tax, audit, and operational functions.
Candidate Profile
Education
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, or a related field.
- Further education or certifications in financial management, trade operations, or corporate governance are advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in commodity trading and trade finance, preferably in leading international trading houses.
- Extensive experience covering the full commodity supply chain lifecycle, including operations, risk management, and trading.
- In-depth knowledge of multiple commodity classes (e.g., energy, metals, agricultural products).
- A proven track record in portfolio management of commodities trade finance assets with strong analytical skills in financial modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead transaction structuring, risk management, and cross-border trade finance operations.
- Hands-on experience in establishing and managing financial structures, including operational frameworks and regulatory compliance setups.
- Previous involvement in the development and management of trade finance platforms or investment funds.
Languages
- Fluent in English and French.
- Knowledge of other languages is a significant asset.
Skills
- In-depth understanding of commodity trading flows, structured finance, and global trade operations.
- Strong expertise in financial reporting, risk management, portfolio oversight, and strategic planning.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the capacity to manage cross-functional teams and foster organizational development.
- Knowledge of Swiss financial regulatory requirements, including SRO affiliation and AML frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
Other Requirements

Salary
Salary range: CHF 170,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
