W Talent is proud to exclusively partner with a dynamic manufacturing business in Chesterfield, seeking to hire a new Maintenance Supervisor to join their leadership team. This pivotal and exciting position offers significant opportunities for progression into Maintenance and Engineering Management.

Initially, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of four Maintenance Engineers, with the role evolving as the business continues to expand. The Role - Maintenance Supervisor

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will lead and support the maintenance function, ensuring that machinery, equipment, and production facilities are operational within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will oversee a small team of engineers and remain hands-on when necessary, facilitating planned and reactive maintenance activities while driving improvements across the site.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Leading, supporting, and developing a team of Maintenance Engineers.
• Planning and coordinating planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Managing reactive maintenance issues to minimize production downtime.
• Assisting with fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Collaborating closely with production teams to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards and engineering procedures.
• Supporting engineering projects, installations, and machinery upgrades.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Ideally Have:

• Previous experience in a Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, or Engineering Team Leader position.
• A strong background within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in industries such as FMCG, Food, Beverage, Plastics, Heavy Engineering, Automotive, or similar.
• Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring engineers.
• Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance systems.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

The role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 to £45,000, depending on experience, with working hours from Monday to Friday in a days-based position located in Chesterfield.
